Rep Power: 10 | Kobe scores 60 points in win. Quote:
In scoring 60 points against the Grizzlies on Thursday, Kobe Bryant joined Michael Jordan, Wilt Chamberlain and Elgin Baylor as the only players in NBA history to score 50 or more points in three consecutive games.
He was responsible for a massive amount of the Lakers' offense tonight, hitting 20 of 37 shots and 17 of 18 free throws. It seemed that the ball was always in his hands, and for good reason. Bryant also recorded five rebounds, four assists and three 3-pointers and amazingly has averaged 37 shots and 14.7 free throws over his last three games.

Kobe has been unstoppable, but most of you will probably think he is a ball hog. Lamar Odom had 15 boards and 20 points in the win tonight. He can't be much of a ball hog if Odom is racking up the boards and scoring 20. As a Laker fan there's really no other player to pass too, because when Kobe doesn't score a lot of points the Lakers don't win.
He joins a list of some great names. I'm happy to have Kobe on the Lakers. Nobody should hate Kobe unless your a fan from the rival teams. The rape thing is all crap. I know it's done and over with but a lot of people hate Kobe because of that, and with the suspensions he had served.
He is a great player and should be judged by his game on the court.

Rep Power: 0 | What do Rebounds have to do with determining whether or not someone is a ball-hog? Also, "court" not "field". Of course, Kobe could also be hated less if he stopped elbowing people in the face/throat.
Kobe is a ball-hog, but that doesn't mean it is a bad thing. Some teams need one player to control the ball every time down the court. The Lakers don't exactly have an offense that would favor him "spreading the ball around" more than he already is (or isn't). Kobe is a top 5 player in the league, maybe not a top 5 teammate, but the NBA isn't really about that anymore.

Rep Power: 0 | lol. he did it again. thats four in a row now!!. This is why Kobe deserves to be the MVP of the NBA. And Nash doesn't. I still think Kobe should be a top contender for MVP Candidate. He's been on fire. Hope lakers make the playoffs. Cause Kobe has done a lot of work this year and has tried very hard |

Rep Power: 0 | Again, what do rebounds have to do with Kobe being a ball-hog? Please explain how that makes any argument at all.

Rep Power: 10 | I don't even know. I was basically explaining why Lamar Odom is the next best player on that team, and the only player with decent talent . |

Rep Power: 0 | Bynum could/should be good in the near future. But I agree, the Lakers - Kobe would be the 5th worst team in the league.

Rep Power: 0 | ah who cares if his streak broke. We all know he is amazing and he will continue to be. He is almost about to reach the 3000 points mark for this season. Hope he does. He deserves to be MVP. But nooo its between Nash and Nowitzki. Btw they BOTH SUCK AT DEFENSE. and MVP should be good at both cause he's valuable to the team. Without Kobe Lakers suck. However the Suns could win a few games without Nash. And without nowitzki its still possible.!! |

You didn't happen to see the Suns for about the couple of weeks Nash was injured did you? I'll fill you in, they looked lost and could not create thier own open shots. They are 2-4 this year without Nash, while the Lakers without thier "star player/obvious MVP" are 3-2. It's not often an MVP's team has a better winning percentage without their star player than with. Although the # of games are too small to compare it's easy to see the Suns suffer a much bigger loss without Nash than the Lakers do without Kobe.
