Default Rangers and Cubs after Barmes

Quote:
According to FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal, the Cubs and Rangers are among the clubs interested in Clint Barmes as a utilityman.
The Cardinals and Brewers also reportedly explored deals for him in the offseason, and Rosenthal says the Royals might make a bid later. The Rockies were planning on sending Barmes to Triple-A if he was beaten out by Troy Tulowitzki for the starting job at shortstop, but they're not going to give him up cheap. Barmes probably won't ever be much of a hitter, but because of his defense, he's not such a bad option as a regular shortstop.
Clint Barmes was doing so great his rookie year before he fell down his stairs carrying groceries in. I think he fell down them or he slipped on them and messed up his back. I can't remember what happened but it was pretty bad. He didn't get to win the rookie of the year, which he was well on his way of doing. Now this kid Troy Tulowitzski (sp?) comes in as a top prospect and will be the starting SS. This kid is a stud. I would want Barmes to be traded, but only to be a starter again. He got injured one time in his career and it was his rookie season now his value is horrible.

I know his stats weren't great last year, but it's a sophomore slump. It's a conspiracy to some players. Now that he isn't a sophomore, lets see what he can bring to the table.
