Default Texans to acquire QB Matt Schaub

Quote:
NFL.com and the Houston Chronicle report that the Texans will acquire QB Matt Schaub from the Falcons for a second-round pick by the end of Wednesday. FoxSports.com reports that Houston will also give up a 2008 second-round pick and move down two spots in this year's first round.
Schaub, a restricted free agent, will sign a new deal with Atlanta before the trade and be the favorite to win Houston's starting job over Sage Rosenfels. It will free up Houston to deal David Carr. Schaub is somewhat mobile and knows the West Coast offense, so he's a fine fit with Gary Kubiak. This will make one less team interested in drafting a first-round QB.

By this move happening, this means for sure David Carr is out. The former 1st round pick. If the Raiders trade Randy Moss in the off-season before David Carr is traded, he then could end up in Oakland which will lead to the Raiders drafting OT Joe Thomas or WR Calvin Johnson.

I'm not sure if I would like to see David Carr in a Raiders uniform. I liked him in college and he had a good 1st half last year and just kind of fell apart. I really like JeMarcus Russell and definitely think the Raiders shouldn't pass him up, like they passed up Matt Leinart in last years draft.

Trade David Carr to the Raiders, so he goes from the worst O-Line in the league to the 2nd worst O-Line in the league. Poor guy.

I think the Texans got molested in this trade. Moving down 2 spots isn't much, but also losing two second-round picks (both of which will probably be high) is rough for a back-up QB who has only had 1 good game.

Carr has been Released by the Texans, I think thats one of the stupidest things they could have done.

1. Schuab hasn't really proven himself in a full NFL Season.
2.Carr has had some great seasons, have you seen the Offence he has to deal with? He is always one of the most sacked QB's in the league and something tells me thats not his fault.
I think the Texans should have waited to see how Schuab would have played with the Texans to actually see if he would click in the Houston Offence.
